Woof, where do I start. I come rolling into this one with a bias as I've never liked Jack Kirby's celestial storytelling. He wrote on such a grand scale. While his concepts may be interesting, the characters are hard to relate to. I tend to like grounded street-level comics and the Eternals (as is most of Kirby's work) was in an opposite genre.

This movie would have been a decent sequel to a previously released Marvel Phase 1 introductory Black Widdow movie if such a thing had existed.

Unfortunately, instead, we get a boilerplate Marvel film that feels like it exists mostly to fulfill the concept that it should have been made over a decade ago. It carries the weight of the vibe that Marvel just wanted to have a film on the docket during the film's original release date.
