this walked so dazed and confused could RUNN

reallyyyy beautiful cinematography, like the overall atmosphere and aesthetic were everything. i also liked the character charlotte, but the film kinda fell flat toward the end
just when i thought this movie couldn’t get any weirder… it did. anyway, this was actually hilarious and i love how accurately the suburban life was depicted. everyone driving golf carts, moms trying to one up each other, the condescending conversations with each other. i also loved the aesthetic and all of the colors. it reminds me of but i’m a cheerleader or napoleon dynamite
mikey was saurrr annoying, but i love sean baker and how realistic all of his films are. I like that he shines a light on topics that aren't really talked about much, such as living in poverty, sex workers, and, in this film, a washed-up porn star. I appreciate that he does his research and handles all of these topics with care. Most of the time, he casts people who have been through the things I mentioned above, so it just makes it even more real.
this was truly so odd and unsettling. not really sure how to feel, but I’ll probably rewatch this in the future so I can try and get a better understanding. but the overall aesthetic, outfits, and color palette were EVERYTHING.
all these men annoyed me but their outfits were cool
great cinematography and the color pallet was pretty, but that’s about it
i love random indie movies about teenagers just having fun
