Josh Lewis’s review published on Letterboxd:
Tech-bro Epstein island Get Out is an irably unpleasant concept for a thriller and it's been quite confidently followed through on for a debut despite all the tonal land mines it offers. Kravitz makes the transition from acting to directing in some of the expected ways (an understanding of how to organize and comedically deploy a truly bizarre and inspired ensemble of ing character actors) and unexpected; a genuinely good eye for the lush oversaturated Instagram influencer vacation horror imagery that makes the transition from beautiful to trippy, uncanny and ominous on a dime. Not really sure what to make of the strangely sudden Girl Boss ending but up until then the situational escalation is appropriately surreal and harrowing and has been sharply assembled in of cutting/sound design. Fun to see Tatum flex some against-type evil muscles we've not seen from him (kind of a psychotic role to ask your fiancé to play lol), and confirmed: Adria Arjona is a star.
