Matt Singer’s review published on Letterboxd:
After hearing about this for decades, I finally watched it. It’s not hard to see why it became a hit in New York in 1973; John Belushi AND Chevy Chase AND Christopher Guest is an absurd amount of talent for a single off-Broadway parody musical. Watching Guest and Belushi together is a real trip; their energies seem so different on paper, but they’re totally in sync in this amazing number where they spoof James Taylor and his band, all of whom are zonked out on heroin. It’s so funny. But then I realized John Belushi could have (should have) been in A Mighty Wind, and I got very sad.
