giving this another rewatch, and it’s still amazing how bleak its portrayal of life could be. depressing is an understatement, but i guess thats what he wants to present.

Watched it for the second time and it’s still as magical as my first time. Lazzaro’s unrelenting innocence and the naivety to be good is an interesting subject to dig. Is he pure? Is he stupid? I think those only matter for us who have lived with scepticism for so long, while Lazzaro offered how simple it is to be a good and a loyal person. At his own stake of course.
