Dune: Part Two

Somehow, Denis manages to not only top his first film centered in this universe, but improve on it in most ways. The stakes are raised, the tensions are palpable, and everything comes together so incredibly well. Visually stunning, emotionally gripping, and performances which are all so incredibly layered bring this film a level above. Being specific for a second, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha could genuinely go down as one of the greatest villains in science fiction. I am so incredibly grateful to be present during these Dune films, as I feel like I’m witnessing a chapter in cinematic history. This is what sci-fy was made for, a visual medium which complies gripping stories into the greatest spectacle imaginable. Not seeing this in a theater if able would be a crime, one of the best theater experiences I’ve ever had. Floored by this one, as good as this genre gets.
