Synopsis: Renowned Spanish actress Paz Vega makes her directorial debut in this touching family drama. Amidst the chaos of the European football championships, seven-year-old Rita and her little brother struggle through a sweltering Spanish summer in their working-class neighbourhood. Protecting themselves from their father’s bullying, Rita clings on to a dream of building a house by the sea for their mother. Starring Paz Vega (Spanglish), Sofía Allepuz and Alejandro Escamilla, Rita is written and directed by Vega.
