MAN, if Raiders didn’t exist, this would be my favorite Indy film. The relationship between Indy and his father is not only incredibly charming, but packs some of the most heart present in the entire franchise, and while Raiders definitely has the most iconic ending, it’s arguable that this might have the best Indy ending, with Indy, his father, Sallah and Marcus all riding into the sunset being a perfect conclusion to a legendary franchise. This will always be the true finale to Indiana Jones and no one can ever convince me otherwise. Fly high Phoenix and Connery 🕊️

Sure the pacing is odd at times, but Tom Cruise, you absolute son of a bitch, you don did it again. Absolutely thrilling from beginning to end, maybe the best character interactions in the franchise, and an ending that is so unbelievably satisfying in every way. I’m sad to see this franchise potentially go, but I feel like it has run its course incredibly well, and I don’t know how many more of these stunts Tom Cruise can pull in his 60s. Regardless, you’re my goat Tom Cruise, no matter what they say.
