Sean Hoffmann’s review published on Letterboxd:
Dune part twos last night on screens in my area, sounded like the perfect time to do my 4th and maybe final(?) round in theaters. At least for now. Second time in AMC Prime.
To be alive at the time of this film being released, truly what a blessing if such a thing exists. The last 15-20 minutes, pretty much from when the atomics hit to very end might be my favorite stretch in any movie ever? Filmmaking on a level we rarely see. Powerful, emotional, overwhelming. It’s truly a special achievement and will be tough to top.
Growing up, my Dad, brother and I would go to the movies every weekend pretty much. We’d see 2-3 movies each time. Back then I saw movies like Jurassic Park 7 times, Empire Strikes Back special edition 9 times etc. but obviously it wasn’t my money, it was my dads. Thankfully this time around I also have someone else paying technically with A-List. This movie reminds me of the love I had for those movies growing up and almost makes me feel like a kid again. I’ll be forever grateful for that.
Until the next time, thanks Denis and co.
