Sam Stitt’s review published on Letterboxd:
My life has changed forever…
I cannot put into words how truly incredible Dune: Part Two is. How it was even made in the first place genuinely blows my mind and I’m so incredibly grateful to be alive in the time that this movie came out.
This is a perfect film. I didn’t want it to stop. I mean it didn’t even feel like a movie and watching it made me feel out of time, like I was in a trance from how enthralled I was. The acting, the visuals, the score, the story, the sound design, the cinematography EVERYTHING GOES SO INCONCEIVABLY HARD.
If this movie doesn’t sweep the Oscars this year then idk what movie ever will. Timothee Chalamet is the face of a new generation, Austin Butler has solidified himself as one of the greatest villains I have ever seen in any medium, and Denis Villeneuve has continued to prove why he’s one of the all time greatest directors in the history of cinema.
