when final destination was at least somewhat compelling for like two and a half movies?

25 years and 5 sequels removed from Final Destination it certainly feels like a base layer for what could be an awesome horror franchise more than anything else. These characters utter lack of logic got on my nerves at certain points but I understand that a lot of these kinds of movies are built around you sitting there and shouting at the screen about how stupid everyone is being. Don’t really love the final 10 minutes, felt weirdly disconnected from the rest of the movie and it came out of the blue.
Takes a while to get going but once it starts the undead chaos is nonstop! All of the performances were super over the top and screamy which got exhausting once or twice, other than that it added to the fun goofiness of the film. The zombies looked awesome. Found it comically random that 2 of the main characters were named Bert and Ernie with no relation or similarity to the puppets. Ending was so wild I did not see that coming at all. Happy Halloween everybody!!
An experience built for IMAX that I’m disappointed to view on a lesser screen. Not quite as exciting as the first but it does a good job at showing the true villainous force of destruction that is a tornado and how terrifying it is to be affected by one. Such a random soundtrack too lol. All around pretty awesome
THE CHRISTMAS MOVIE OF THE SUMMER.
Blends golden era looney tunes with survival video gameplay in mostly live action format! The digital environment allows our characters boundless limitations without taking you out of the movie; There wasn’t a single point where it felt like I was watching some goober dance in front of a green screen the world was as authentic as any set could’ve made it and the same goes for the animal costumes, obviously not super high quality…
Watched a little less than half of this several months ago and thought it was so terrible that I quit without any intention of giving it another shot which is something I never do. Started from the top today and while I no longer have as many issues with it now that I’ve seen the full film, still pretty bad. The stunt stuff was cool but none of the jokes were funny, just watch jackass instead
