oreawilliams’s review published on Letterboxd:
I didn’t grow up on Star Wars and most of the sci fi films I’ve seen have been quite basic (not a bad thing) in their premises: good vs evil. So to watch a film that is so complex in it’s study of what is good and what is evil, how saviours can quickly become enslavers and what power and history can challenge and change people was genuinely new to me. I was mesmerised throughout, never bored and I got actual goosebumps during that scene with Paul when he is, ahem, shouting a lot. I will absolutely need to see this again, and shout out Denis for not making us watch fight scenes for 10 minutes - ain’t nobody got time for that.
