What a vapid climax to an already lackluster era of music.
I went into this trying to separate my perceptions of The Weeknd himself from what the film was to deliver. Unfortunately, I believe the film *wants* you to do such thing. Not so that you gain proper perspective of the story being told to you. So that you take the idea of ‘The Weeknd’ it portrays to you as fact.
