One for the real lovers.

Watch smoking cigarettes and swirling a glass of red wine, thinking about the one you lost.

Didn't particularly enjoy this at all.
Found some of it overacted. Bit slapstick. Comedy moments were a bit too quirky for my liking.

Didn't really land for me. At certain points they manage to build up tension, but then it's ruined. Honestly expected this to be much better.

Part Matewan.
Part O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Part From Dusk Till Dawn.

The hype is real. A tremendously enjoyable film that looks stunning, boasts a fantastic cast, and features an incredible score.

I don’t even watch many horror films, but this shifts lanes perfectly—from a Prohibition-era period drama to a full-blown vampire slasher and back—seamlessly.

Jack O’Connell delivers a standout performance, not least because he’s one of the very few to take on an Irish accent without butchering it. And he sings well, too.

I can’t wait to see this again—there are so many details to pick up on.

I've seen this described as "More Fincher than Fincher"—and while that might be an overly ambitious comparison, the similarities are undeniably present.

Heavily influenced by The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (whichever version you prefer), this has been labeled as Horror, but I wouldn't categorize it that way myself. It leans more toward a psychological thriller/drama infused with Horror elements and a sharp, scathing social commentary at it's core.

I have too much to say about this film to condense…
