Not as bad as I imagined! It was quite fun and I had a good time! I wish I would've been 12 when I saw it though. The age when the creators of this movie thinks you believe in Santa.

Hypnotically beautiful! The technical limitations helps it to feel timeless rather than of out of time and makes it feel like something that both could've been displayed on a cave wall by the time One Thousand and One Nights was written as well as at an independent film festival 2024.
Give this movie the recognition it deserves! Snow White ain't got nothing! (It has a lot but you get my point)
At first I was tricked, I really thought it was a film from the early days of cinema, but something felt a little bit of. The production year wasn't a shock but rather cleared the feeling. However, the way they managed to recreate this feeling was really impressive and the plot was tight and spooky.
I think they're trying to cramp too much Hellboy-lore into one movie and everything therefore feels rushed and shallow with some uneasy CGI (half-naked Ian McShane should've been the main monster and it would've been scary for real). I hate to say it but I think this would've been better as a lower budget tv-series with a "monster of the week"-kind of deal for more intimate and slow paced storytelling. Actually gets me hyped for the reboot though!
Harbour is a great choice for Hellboy but the design and the prosthetics sadly damages the performance.
This one is the most boring of the Harry Potter movies and the one that feels most like a middle entry in a franchise. Even though it has brilliant elements, like Imelda Stauntons Umbridge for example, the lack of a classic dramatic structure keeps it from feeling like a film that can stand on its own two legs and takes away from the emotional payoffs it's trying to deliever.
It's not bad, and parts are even very good, like the interactions within the team and most of the new characters. I really like Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch and especially Andy Serkis who is not only stealing Wakandan vibranium, but also every scene he's in!
However. The plot feel old and slow and too similar to the first one to feel interesting.
Would this have been the first Avengers that came out I'm sure the tone would've been different, but now it feels like they're phoning it in.
This movie is part of my master scavenger hunt challenge. Challenge #7 asks for a film with a one word title. I've chosen the movie Suspiria.

Originally I was going to choose the original for this challenge, but made the decision to instead go with the remake in order to be able to make a comparison.
After some thought I believe I prefer the original, without being totally smitten by any of them. The original however have a more…
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
