A good film let down by the fact 60% of it was lit like a 2010 BBC drama.

Alfonso Cuarón knows exactly how to get the best out of a story, using engrossing cinematic techniques that make this vision of the future seem reachable and real.
There're some immense displays of filmmaking skill on show here. This film breaks boundaries in it's inventive use of camera without distracting from an extremely powerful narrative.
A great piece of cinema!

No matter how many times I watch this film, it's beauty never wears thin.
Just sit back and let it wash over you. Incredible filmmaking.
