I had easy time making the list, since I have only started to watch Oscar films few years ago and so many films that have a place in my heart connects to my childhood or teenage years. Films that I kept watching over and over, though some I have only seen once but they have stayed with me. Furthermore, as a fan of Korean cinema, Parasite has to be there. And as equine fan Seabiscuit is a fantastic film. Less sad than Warhorse.

Close were also Arrival for being one of the first alien films where it's not all about attacking the aliens. Life of Pi for being so visually pretty, Shape of Water for being a fairytale for adults and Inception for being so mind boggling.
