I really hate how much this film seems to resent horror as a genre. It feels incredibly self important as though this is the first time anyone has used zombies to illustrate real human tragedy but it isn’t & you actually don’t have to make a painfully dull meditation on grief to reveal the inherent humanity of the genre. It’s been there all along in much more interesting films. That said, Renate Reinsve is always welcome on my screen.
