“Send them to paradise.”
Genuinely funny at times, scary, cool, inspiring, etc. etc. Denis is the best working director rn, can’t convince me otherwise. I can’t wait to see what he does with Messiah. Get weird!!
All the Harkkonen soldiers floating up that cliff then falling down like rocks?? Dude…
The sequence of Paul and Chani and co. attacking the harvester?! With the rocket launcher?!? Dude…
Austin Butler saying “Bene Geserit!” In the Elvis voice for exactly one line then switching back to very good/weird Skarsgard impression?! DUDE!!
(he was great actually but still Neil and I were doing Feyd-Rautha Elvis bits the whole train ride back. “Colonel, tell me what to do about this chucklehead Muad’Dib…”)
Saw this in IMAX 70mm at Lincoln Square, which I highly highly recommend. I’m going back for sure.
Quick funny little thing - the dude in the row behind me got up at one point and very quickly ran out in the middle and the jacket he was carrying hit every single person in my row in the head as he ed. Neil and were 90-95% sure he had pooped his pants and was running out. (Based on urgency and other people making audible gasps and covering their nose/mouth as he ed) so take from that what you will…
