Somehow the pièce de résistance of this film, amid its barrage of hyperliterary namechecks and coprolalia, is a callback to Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues. And when it comes up, it’s both riotous and annihilating. It’s the ULYSSES of Romanian cinema.
