Honestly I wasn't really feeling this one
Maybe my expectations were too high but the Umbrellas of cherbourg and Singing in the rain influences were very obvious and because this film lacked that same magic, it just ended up feeling kind of uninspired.
I think most modern movie musicals have the same problem of being shot like a really expensive commercial with overly-edited dance sequences that feels a bit off. either that or the speaking parts are so bland that…
