1950. William Lee, an American expat in Mexico City, spends his days almost entirely alone, except for a few s with other of the small American community. His encounter with Eugene Allerton, an expat former soldier, new to the city, shows him, for the first time, that it might be finally possible to establish an intimate connection with somebody.

Daniel Craig stumbles around drunk and lonely while thirsting after the hot but emotionally distant bisexual man for two hours. Queer is a film so obsessed with drawing you into this detached and isolated feeling world, that it forgets the audience needs something to actually latch onto. There is certainly a vibe to this film, and it may work for you, but I found myself having a difficult time connecting with any of the barely defined characters, as we never really get to know them outside of their lusts for one another.
Aesthetically very cool though!
