the writers on this series: lets make it religiously close to the original source material. so they literally feel like they're reading the book as they watch it. apart from one thing. colin firth is going to jump into a lake and emerge, dripping wet, with his undershirt clinging to him, and walk back to pemberley. that's the only thing that needs to be added. it has little to no plot relevance but it'll be hot as fuck

There is absolutely nothing like growing up with both the mini-series and the 2005 version, because I'm CURSED with the knowledge that the 2005 version is the better piece of art, is MUCH sexier, and has the best Mr. Darcy, but that the mini-series is definitely the superior adaptation and matches the spirit of the book so much better, and also that Jennifer Ehle is the best Elizabeth (don't shoot Keira stans, I'm one of you)
