I do think I’m going to forget about this movie come “best of 2025” time because of how early in the year and devoid of spectacle it is but from where I am standing right now, it’s absolutely perfect. So smart, and so sexy, without ever being sensual. Real lover cinema. There’s a simple scene that is exactly two shots long in a movie theater early on, and it made me think back to Cate Blanchett’s very first line and reminded me that I am in extremely good hands. Neither Soderbergh nor Koepp has lost their juice even a little bit.

I kept listening to the (very good) score with intrigue like tasting a delicious and familiar dish at a party, only to go “this has to be David Holmes, right” and lo and behold, it was! The Ocean’s team back together again doing a twisty thriller. Life is so worth living.

If I had to criticize something I would say that I straight up do not like all the halation! Very distracting in every single scene! Why he do that. Damn if I don't still love this movie a lot. Dinner scenes are so good, as is the polygraph. Marisa Abela runs away with the whole thing.

Hottest people, best wardrobe, popping score, fun prop gadgetry and sick production design. Just a real good time at the cinema with Mr Soderbergh. A film for ADULTS.
