Dune: Part Two

2024

★★★★½

I think this is a good example of a visual adaptation of the book. Some changes were made but nothin that hindered the experience of the story. It nails the rich atmosphere of the novels and the intriguing world building. Specific points I noticed

The scene of Paul riding the grandfather worm was epic.

Christopher walken played the emperor much better then I could have imagined

The effects give all the props an unexpectedly vivid sense of scale and weight. Everything from the explosions, worms and vehicles are nothing short of cathartic to see in theatres.

I am very curious how these movies will portray Alia if they make messiah and children of Dune.

I am glad these movies are bringing Frank Herbert’s world to life and revitalizing people’s interest in the series.
