I have waited so so long for this, and it exceeded all my expectations. Denis Villeneuve masterfully directs his best work yet, one of the best films of the 21st century. The visuals have somehow leveled up from the first one and Greg Frasier’s cinematography adds so much to that, each frame is so meticulously crafted and stunning, I was engrossed for every second of it.

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya absolutely dominate their screen presence. Chalamet’s performance during his speech to the Fremen in the 3rd act and in the final couple of scenes took my breath away can we PLEASE make him an Oscar contender this year. Rebecca Ferguson has less screen time here but still feels so prevalent and honestly, scary. Whenever she uses The Voice it sends shivers up my spine. And Austin Butler’s Feyd-Rautha is both terrifying and a joy to watch. If he can get nominated for Elvis, he can WIN for this.

I can’t help but get so invested in this story, it’s slow pacing never bothers me at all. I truly believe this will be seen as one of the great sci-fi movies and sequels of all time. BRING ON PART 3!!!!!
