The first jump scare in this definitely startled me and then promptly made me laugh. The movie is very much focused on the editing process so be ready for a lot of computer screens though. At one point near the end my video froze on a static shot and it took me five minutes to realize it wasn’t just a bad filmmaking choice… even then it almost worked. If you’ve ever wanted to watch an editor and director fight about the importance of a zoom while a ghost lurks about, this is definitely for you.

Edit: I just re-read this and realized it could come across as ive aggressive, so I wanted to clarify that this was my favourite film I saw during Fantasia 2021. If you have any interest in filmmaking (and can handle a ghost) you should see this.
