Inox Malad IMAX
A spectacular sequel which accelerates its pace to deliver an extravagant ensemble piece which allows almost all major players to shine and whose setpieces are exciting, whenever they aren't making you cheer in glee.
But perhaps the most inspiring piece of this film is its rumination on the most important part of these Messianic stories- the reluctance to follow a destiny and the terrible costs it involves. It was always a tall order to make Dune in a post-Star Wars world, the latter having cheapened and copied several tropes from the book (I suspect). But it's this singular focus on the burdens of destiny, from the first film to this one which makes Denis's creation so much more refreshing.
There's still a lot of story left to be told and seen but I have just had a satisfying conclusion for now.
