I really wanted to like this and I appreciate the creativity, but sometimes Miyazaki movies just forget why the audience is invested to begin with and gets lost in itself, and with this I was very bored… I also think Mahito was a bland protagonist and the Heron was far more interesting and barely featured in the movie DESPITE the fact that he’s in the title 👀 idk, at the end of the day this just wasn’t my thing 🤷🏻‍♀️
