I can see why people might not like this film. It basically has no plot and is driven solely the performances and dialogue. Fortunately, those aspects were both very good, so the movie worked for me overall. There were maybe a couple slow patches, but it was still very funny, Elliott Gould gave my favorite performance here, and the music was fun too. I've been interested in Robert Altman's filmography for a while, and I think this was a pretty good place to start.
