I can see why people might not like this film. It basically has no plot and is driven solely the performances and dialogue. Fortunately, those aspects were both very good, so the movie worked for me overall. There were maybe a couple slow patches, but it was still very funny, Elliott Gould gave my favorite performance here, and the music was fun too. This movie is tense, compelling, and filled with stellar performances from the twelve main characters. Before watching this, I didn't know a movie could be this good, but here we are. This is a movie that everybody should watch before they die. I love this movie so much.

Wow, this movie lived up to the hype! Everything was awesome! The special effects were great, the characters were great (especially Al McWhiggin and Ian Malcolm, hoo boy), the music by John Williams was phenomenal, Spielberg's direction was amazing, and the way this movie goes from light-hearted fun dinosaur movie to a straight-up horror movie is utterly insane! It's well-acted, well-directed, well-written, tense, funny, and all-around entertaining. I look forward to watching it again!
