The cast and director of Speak No Evil share their four favorite films with Letterboxd. 

The ever-versatile James McAvoy shows off his range with four films that span decades and genres, kicking things off with Alien and concluding with Brief Encounter. A double feature of crossing stars and star-crossed lovers, anyone? 

His Speak No Evil co-star Mackenzie Davis pulls off a last-minute substitution to slot in Death Becomes Her, while writer-director James Watkins has a request for us as he contemplates Rear Window, Vertigo and Notorious: “I could probably name about seven Hitchcocks. Can we just put Hitchcock?” Elsewhere, Scoot McNairy shows his appreciation for “big, big, big films,” including a Michael Mann twosome of Heat and The Last of the Mohicans.
