In 2nd grade, every day after recess, Mrs. Bretzfelder wheeled out the TV cart, and turned on Reading Rainbow. It was my favorite time of day. LeVar Burton helped ignite my love of reading, and eventually writing, and brought us all over the globe to learn how the world works. As much as I loved Sesame Street, The Joy of Painting, and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, Reading Rainbow had the biggest impact on me. This wonderful documentary brought tears to my eyes as I recalled those days of discovery and imagination.
