It looks amazing from cinematography to VFX, but in the end it doesn't have a satisfying emotional core and Rupert Sanders just doesn't understand how to make a movie. He doesn't know how to pace a scene or a story, he doesn't understand how characters work, he doesn't understand how to portray emotions, he doesn't understand how to build tension, and he doesn't understand how to use a script. But hey, that old Japanese dude with the revolver was awesome.
