forever my favourite movie. some of the most visually interesting and genuinely heartwarming stuff ever put to screen. very glad to have watched this with my friends who mean so much to me.

felt a LOT longer on a second watch. really don't see a reason for a film like this to be longer than like 75 minutes, but don't get me wrong; i'm not gonna sleep tonight.

strangely wants to be a sam raimi movie without taking ANY of the required risks to pull it off. adding a few gimmicky transitions through reflections or jump cuts cannot save the absolute nothingness that is Black Adam. lipstick on a pig at its finest.

kenneth branagh is living proof for why most actors study theatre acting before any other kind of acting. it's insane how he's able to basically do whatever he wants with an adapted story and make it work, no matter how famous or ancient the original text is. i've got so much respect for this dude!!!

the only thing stopping me from claiming this as my favourite movie is anxiety

pretty fun and very expensive but honestly didn't make a lot of sense. definitely felt like a george miller movie but the plot was a little too thin with a lot of things that were just WEIRD man! electromagnetic djinn.
