Edgar Wright needs to stop making comedies and make more horror no cap!! Such anxiety inducing, thrilling filmmaking that I loved every second of!!
Edgar needs to go back to lower budgets :/
Very cool movie, lots of nice spectacle and great performances, and Edgar Wright knows how to direct the editing of a movie. The pace (as usual) is almost entirely spot on, the montages are spectacular and moving, the one-takes are remarkably impressive, the Edgar Wright-isms (what's left of them) are not at all tiresome, I really liked them...but this didn't really feel like an Edgar Wright movie for the most part.…
This movie doesn’t give a fuck and clearly my audience didn’t. I liked it tho!!
Favourite of the fest so far!! Loved how they translated this play to screen by it’s super unique use of wide and zoom angles. I believe this will be in contention for the people choice award at TIFF.
This is totally a film I would turn off if I saw on Netflix but, seeing it in theatres was really cool! Gorgeous cinematography and filmmaking really carries this story as I found it really investing despite its pacing problems.
Both parts frustrating but, also very emotional.
One thing for sure is that I’m SO happy to be back in this film festival!
Amongst one if the best episodes of the series!! Gives so much character development to Jules meanwhile delivering something so emotional. The filmmaking on display here so unbelievable given the fact this was done during Covid. The cinematography are also on another level here as usual with Euphoria. This is the best show on TV rn and no other show comes close to matching it!!
Given I can finally log something Euphoria related on LB, I’m gonna talk both about this episode but also the show as a whole.
It’s not secret that I’m more into Films then TV as I usually found TV to just not feel as cinematic or creative as films can get with directing. I’m aware how stupid that statement is considering the nature of how directors come and go from TV but that’s how I felt before.
However a little…
