TIFF: The Next Wave - Film #1

I want to be friends with the director and it was cool how she gave everyone stickers and mints, but I found this to be really mean spirited and kinda shallow. It’s funny at times, the editing is really unique and it’s pretty impressive how this was made before blockers/booksmart, but it doesn’t have the charm, depth and heart of those films.

What a cinematic catastrophe, I loved it

After my movie premiere and celebrating, I slept for 30 minutes during the film and found the rest of it to be a full blown meme…

What did I just watch??

I’m sorry Daniel but I do not think this was for me and I did not find it very funny, bless John Krasinki though

A24 being A24 here and ngl, I’m kinda sick of it…

Still would’ve preferred if Tim Story finally made Tim’s Story but I’ll take this in the meantime 😩

This movie doesn’t give a fuck and clearly my audience didn’t. I liked it tho!!

Both parts frustrating but, also very emotional.

One thing for sure is that I’m SO happy to be back in this film festival!
