Alex Colmenares’s review published on Letterboxd:
Dune: Part Two is undeniably a spectacular visual experience to witness, whether in theaters or at home (where I commited the disgrace of seeing this movie in). And despite the amazing performances, fantastic explorations of its characters, unspeakable visual effects, amazing cinematography, and astounding world Denis Villanueve managed to translate to the screen, I can't help but still hope for quite a bit to be desired. The pacing is still kind of clunky (even if used well), some characters are underused, and it still kind of feels like the story isn't over yet, despite being the so-called part two of two. But I can look these flaws past and go ahead and give unanimous acclaim to this undeniably epic adventure. I wouldn't call it one of my favorite films of all time or anything (or even my favorite sci-fi film) but it will most likely become my favorite movie of 2024 definitely.
How do you say "masterpiece" in Fremen language?
