12 Angry Men

1957

HOLY SHIT — this is real cinema.
I wasn’t expecting anything from 12 Angry Men, mostly because I’m not a big fan of old movies (I wish I were), but now I regret not giving them a chance earlier. This movie shows what true filmmaking really is.
Even in 1957, with way fewer resources than today, they made something better than 95% of the big productions we see now.
Never judge a film before watching it.
I honestly thought I…

Sinners

2025

★★★★★ Liked Watched

A total surprise—and easily one of my favorites of the year.
I only heard about Sinners last week, and I can’t believe how much it impacted me. It starts off a bit slow, and I wasn’t sure at first—but once it takes off, it really takes off.

The originality, the striking scenes, the unexpectedly powerful performances—it all builds into something unforgettable. But the real standout is the music. It’s stunning. It drives the emotion, the tension, and it’s what’s going…

We Live in Time

★★★★ Liked Rewatched

Second time watching We Live in Time, and it hit just as hard. I was left absolutely shattered again.

Some people might say it feels like other movies, but for me, the story stands out thanks to the beautiful writing and the incredible performances by Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield — they carry every scene with so much emotion and honesty.

I watched it with Nora, and I know she regrets it (in the best way possible), because she ended up in tears. She loved it, though.

If you’re in the mood to cry — this is the one.

The Truman Show

1998

★★★★★ Liked Rewatched

The Truman Show is a film that still feels powerful and relevant today. This was my second time watching it, and it completely deserves the 5 stars—I'll definitely watch it again.

What makes it stand out is how it explores themes like freedom, control, and the fear of reality. It’s not just about a man trapped in a fake world—it’s about all of us, and how we sometimes choose comfort over truth. The movie also criticizes how people can be…

Nosferatu

2024

★★★½ Liked 2

Nosferatu is a visually stunning film that ultimately struggles to balance its striking aesthetics with a compelling narrative. The direction and cinematography are top-tier, with the haunting imagery and meticulous set design drawing you into a beautifully eerie world. However, the visuals often take precedence over the plot, leading to a story that feels uneven and occasionally predictable, weighed down by a pacing that can feel sluggish at times.

Lilly Rose Depp’s performance, however, is a revelation. She anchors the…

The Substance

2024

★★★★★ Liked Watched

The Substance shatters expectations with its audacious storytelling, offering a complex and disorienting narrative that takes bold risks. It thrives on its unpredictability, blending psychological tension with surreal elements that leave viewers questioning reality at every turn.

At the center of this wild ride is Demi Moore, delivering a career-defining performance. She masterfully navigates the film’s intense emotional terrain, bringing a raw vulnerability and strength to the role. Her portrayal grounds the film’s chaotic nature, making her character’s journey both…
